Brakes Maintance

One of your car's most important safety features are your brakes. Your car uses a highly complex system consisting of friction material, a master cylinder, boosters, rotors and drums, calipers or wheel cylinders and an intricate assembly of springs, hoses, steel lines, valves, and sometimes computers, to always bring you to a safe stop.

Most modern cars are front wheel drive and virtually 80 percent of your braking power now centers on the correct operation of front disc brakes where all the weight is. In addition, breakthroughs in braking technology such as anti-lock brake systems operate at temperatures hundreds of degrees hotter than the braking system of just 10 years ago and need to be maintained properly to be fully effective.

Tune-ups and Engine Repair

The best way to ensure long engine life is to entrust the care of your vehicle to only highly-qualified technicians. Our technicians are certified and trusted professionals who understand the complexities of modern engines. They will skillfully perform engine diagnostic service, routine maintenance tune-ups and major performance tune-ups to help ensure your engine performs at its absolute best.

Cooling System Maintance

A coolant flush and fill is basic maintenance for your car's radiator & cooling system, and will help ensure maximum performance from your car's heating and cooling systems.

Check your car's owner's manual to see the recommended interval for changing your antifreeze and flushing your coolant system. New antifreeze will help your car's engine run cooler, and flushing it will remove any dirt, rust or sediment which may damage the water pump and clog the engine water jacket and radiator.

Air Conditioning Systems

Well-functioning air conditioning system is a must during hot weather. If you're experiencing any of the problems listed below, you may be in need of air conditioning maintenance. Call CanTrust Auto to schedule an appointment.

Batteries and Charging Systems

Do you remember when you last had your battery serviced? If it's been a while, now is the time to either test it yourself or bring your car into CanTrust Auto for a free battery test.

If you suspect that you have a problem with your battery or electrical system, or you would like one of our technicians to do a complete Battery Starting and Charging System Service, call CanTrust Auto and set up an appointment for service. If you need a new battery, we offer a great selection of quality batteries at great prices.

Oil, Lube and Oil Filter

One of the most important things you can do to help your car is to change the oil and fluids at regular intervals. Changing the oil and fluids help avoid costly breakdowns and may ultimately prolong your car's life. Depending on the time of year as well, the oil in your car needs a different weight (thickness) such as 5W30 for winter driving, and 10W30 for spring through fall.

If you prefer to have a CanTrust Auto technician change your oil and fluids while your vehicle's in for service, ask the service advisor for recommendations of other things you can do to help give your car it's longest life.
